Caps and expiry
Two clocks
Stripe stores when a promotion code expires, and sometimes a redeem_by on the coupon. The earlier of those is the Stripe expiry. If a Dealpuffin expiry is set, it can only be sooner. The offer drops off when either date has passed.
Two caps
Stripe cap. max_redemptions on the promotion code, and on the coupon. Stripe counts times_redeemed when a customer actually uses the code. When either count is at its max, the offer leaves the catalog and Stripe will reject a further redemption.
Dealpuffin cap. A maximum number of claims (reveals) on this site. It can only be lower than what Stripe allows, never higher. When the claim count reaches it, Dealpuffin stops revealing the code. The label on the offer shows this cap separately from Stripe's.
A leaked code
The Dealpuffin cap is a soft cap. It limits who can reveal the code here. If someone posts the code elsewhere, Stripe will still accept it until Stripe's own cap, expiry, or other rules stop it. Do not treat a Dealpuffin cap as a secret that Stripe enforces.
What seekers should read
Before claiming, look at both the Stripe limit and the platform limit, and the expiry. After claiming, paste the code soon. A later visit to checkout can still fail if the Stripe cap filled in the meantime.
