What can be listed

Dealpuffin lists promotion codes, not every coupon object in Stripe. A code is listed only when every reason below is absent.

The code itself

  • The coupon has at least one promotion code a customer can type.
  • That code is active.
  • Stripe has not locked the code to a single customer (customer is empty).
  • Stripe still marks the coupon valid.
  • You published the coupon onto a Dealpuffin product. Sync alone is not enough.

Discount shapes that qualify

Any of these can be listed when the rules above pass:

  • Percent off or a fixed amount off in a currency.
  • Duration once, repeating for a number of months, or forever.

One coupon with three promotion codes is three offers, and each code is judged on its own.

Product match

  • Unrestricted coupon (no applies_to products): listed on the products you explicitly publish it to.
  • Coupon limited to Stripe product ids: listed only on your products whose prod_… ids overlap that set.

Time and caps

  • Not past the Stripe expiry (expires_at or redeem_by).
  • Not past a Dealpuffin expiry, if one is set. That date can only be earlier than Stripe's.
  • Stripe redemptions on the code, and on the coupon, are still under their maximums.
  • Claims on Dealpuffin are still under a platform cap, if one is set.

The provider's own Stripe page shows the code and the reason list. Seekers see a masked code. See What stays off and Caps and expiry.

Frequently asked questions

Which Stripe coupons can be listed?

A coupon with an active, customer-facing promotion code, published by you onto a matching product, and still inside Stripe's validity, expiry, and redemption limits.

Can I list a coupon that has no code?

No. A seeker has to paste something at checkout. Coupons without a promotion code stay in the sync and off the catalog.
