What stays off the catalog
These stay in the sync so you can see them. They are not offers.
| Situation | Why it stays off |
|---|---|
| No promotion code | A customer needs a string to paste. |
| Stripe says the coupon is not valid | valid is false. |
| Promotion code inactive | Stripe has not turned that code on. |
| Locked to one Stripe customer | It is a private code for that customer, not a public offer. |
| Not published | Sync imported it. You have not published it onto a product. |
| Past Stripe expiry | expires_at or redeem_by has passed. |
| Past a Dealpuffin expiry | A tighter date, when one is set, has passed. |
| Stripe redemption cap reached | The code's times_redeemed or the coupon's has hit max_redemptions. |
| Dealpuffin cap reached | Claim count has hit the platform maximum, when one is set. |
| Hidden | A Dealpuffin override hides the coupon or the code. |
| No overlapping product | A limited coupon is not published onto a listing that carries one of its Stripe product ids. |
The Stripe page lists each reason in words. list_my_coupons returns the same reasons to an agent, and includes the code, because it is your coupon.
Customer-locked codes are kept on purpose. They are useful in Stripe and the wrong thing to hand to a stranger.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my coupon missing from the catalog?
Open the Stripe page after a sync. The row says which rule failed. The usual ones are "not published," "no promotion code," and "locked to one customer."
Does a failed rule delete the coupon from Stripe?
No. Dealpuffin only decides whether to show it here. Stripe is unchanged.
